1. Max is very unique. She has super hearing and above all she has WINGS! When the hunters try and capture her, she escapes by flying over the fence and perching herself in the tree.

I was so lost about Max, I didn't know if she was just a bird or just a girl. I was really confused until I re-read the prologue and figured it out. Also why is Kit spying on Frannie and what is he really trying to find out? Thats what I would like to really know.

1. Max is a very unique character, considering the fact that she has wings and excellent hearing ability. She can pull individual sounds out of a group, which is very impressive. So I think these traits are genetically engineered special for her to come out this way.

Kit is a FBI agent looking for them. Frannie and David are/were a couple. David is now dead and Frannie is the owner of the Inn.
